What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with middle school students, especially 6th grade, preferred
- Skill in developing and implementing IEPs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with families, staff, and related service providers
- Passion for supporting diverse learners in a resource classroom setting
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual needs and learning styles
- Organizational skills for case management and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and interventions to 6th grade students within a resource classroom
- Assess students’ abilities and progress; adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Liaise with general education teachers to support inclusion and differentiation
- Monitor and report on student progress and achievement
- Create a safe, positive, and structured learning environment
