Make a meaningful difference supporting 6th grade students in a resource classroom as a dedicated special education teacher. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to provide targeted academic and social-emotional support for middle schoolers, fostering growth and confidence during a pivotal time in their education.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience working with middle school students, especially 6th grade, preferred
  • Skill in developing and implementing IEPs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with families, staff, and related service providers
  • Passion for supporting diverse learners in a resource classroom setting
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual needs and learning styles
  • Organizational skills for case management and documentation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and interventions to 6th grade students within a resource classroom
  • Assess students’ abilities and progress; adjust teaching strategies as needed
  • Develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Liaise with general education teachers to support inclusion and differentiation
  • Monitor and report on student progress and achievement
  • Create a safe, positive, and structured learning environment
