High School Special Education Teacher - Danville, IL

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team at a high school in Danville, IL. This position offers the opportunity to work with students who have diverse learning needs and to make a meaningful impact in their educational journey.
Location: Danville, IL
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
Adapt general education lessons and teach specialized lessons according to students' IEP goals.
Provide support and accommodations to ensure students' access to curriculum and educational materials.
Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to facilitate student progress and ensure a supportive learning environment.
Monitor and assess student progress, and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' IEPs, progress reports, and other documentation as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Valid Illinois teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
Experience working with high school students with disabilities preferred.
Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
