In this exciting contract opportunity, your expertise as a Special Education Teacher will support elementary students at the 2nd through 6th grade levels. Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Current Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility for certification)
  • Experience with 2nd through 6th grade learners
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
  • Ability to adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
  • Knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies and classroom management
  • Organizational skills for maintaining detailed records and progress monitoring

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and track individualized education plans (IEPs) for assigned students (SPED 26/27)
  • Provide direct instruction in resource and/or inclusive classroom settings for 2nd to 6th grade
  • Modify curriculum and lessons in accordance with IEP goals and students’ unique needs
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, other special educators, support staff, and families
  • Assist with assessments to identify student strengths and areas needing support
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and district policies
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom culture where every student can thrive
