Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Special Education Teacher certification
  • Experience teaching 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th grade students with diverse learning needs
  • Deep understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt lesson plans to accommodate various learning styles and needs
  • Commitment to maintaining a positive, supportive classroom environment
  • Familiarity with SPED 26/27 requirements preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and areas for growth
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction that addresses specific learning challenges
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Monitor academic progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student achievement, behavior, and IEP compliance
  • Foster a sense of belonging that encourages every student’s participation and success
