Contract Position Through Soliant Education
Position Overview
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for a full-time, school-based opportunity during the 2026–2027 school year. The selected candidate will serve an elementary caseload of approximately 16 students in grades K–6 with mild to moderate disabilities, providing individualized instruction and support to help students achieve academic, social, and behavioral success.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide specialized instruction aligned with students' educational needs and goals.
- Modify curriculum and classroom materials to support diverse learning styles.
- Assess and track student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Implement behavioral supports and classroom management strategies as needed.
- Utilize data-driven instructional practices to support student growth.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable special education laws, regulations, and district requirements.
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes student success.
Caseload Details
- Approximately 16 students
- Grades K–6
- Students with mild to moderate disabilities
Schedule
Teacher Hours
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 7:45 AM – 3:30 PM
- Wednesday: 7:45 AM – 4:00 PM
Student Schedule
- Student day: 8:15 AM – 3:00 PM
- Wednesday dismissal: 2:15 PM
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Active state Special Education teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Knowledge of IEP development and special education best practices.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to effectively support students with varying academic and behavioral needs.
- Previous school-based experience preferred but not required.

Compensation for this position ranges from $26.93 to $46.93. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
