Special Education Teacher | Daphne, Alabama

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid and current educator certification (must be presented to begin)
• Experience teaching or supporting special education at the Pre-K level, particularly with students on the autism spectrum
• Confidence and compassion in assisting students with toileting and personal care needs
• Adaptability and strong communication skills for working collaboratively with staff and families
• Ability to fulfill a 35-hour work week, from 7:45am to 3:15pm

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction and social-emotional support to a small group of Pre-K students with diverse learning needs
• Utilize evidence-based approaches for students on the autism spectrum
• Participate in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Maintain open communication with colleagues and families to foster student progress and engagement
• Ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment, including assistance with toileting as required
