Key Qualifications:
- Valid Educator Certification specific to Special Education (documentation must be presented)

- Comfort and skill assisting with toileting and other personal care requirements
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a paraprofessional and broader multidisciplinary teams

Role Highlights:
- Guide and teach a group of 12 elementary students with varying needs, supported by a paraprofessional
- Develop and deliver individualized education plans, adapting instruction to student abilities and progress
- Foster student independence, social skills, and engagement through consistent routines and evidence-based techniques
- Provide behavioral and academic support, including to children on the autism spectrum
- Maintain open communication with parents, staff, and administration regarding student development
- Participate actively in school meetings, professional development, and compliance with district standards
This position involves a weekly schedule of 35 hours (7:40 am – 3:20 pm, Monday through Friday), extending through the end of the academic school year. The assignment is located in an elementary school, with support resources and a collaborative team.
