Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher license is required (emergency certifications are not accepted)
- Experience working with elementary or PreK-age students, especially those with autism, is highly valued
- Open to candidates with pending certifications
- Will accommodate both local and travel professionals
- Strong ability to adapt to varied learning needs and classroom dynamics
- Commitment to working onsite with students and staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to optimize each child’s educational experience
- Conduct regular assessments and maintain thorough documentation of student progress
- Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet students’ varied needs
- Provide behavioral support and work closely with paraprofessionals and aides as appropriate
