Special Education Teacher | De Pere, Wisconsin

Preferred candidates will possess strong experience working with students on the autism spectrum as well as the mandatory Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education certification (License #2801). Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education certification (License #2801) required
• Demonstrated experience teaching students with autism and varied mild-to-moderate disabilities
• Familiarity with individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention strategies
• Ability to adapt curriculum and methodologies to meet diverse student needs
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Teach high school students with a range of disabilities in an inclusive, cross-categorical classroom
• Develop and implement instructional plans in alignment with students’ IEPs
• Foster a supportive, positive learning environment to maximize student achievement and independence
• Collaborate with general educators, support staff, and families
• Monitor student progress, adjust instruction, and collect relevant data
