Special Education Teacher in De Pere, WI

The role involves working with students who have varying mild-to-moderate disabilities such as learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, or mild intellectual disabilities. Qualifications:

• Active Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education certification (License #2801) is required
• Proven experience working with students on the autism spectrum
• Strong communication skills to connect with students, families, and staff
• Ability to adapt instruction methods for diverse learning styles
• Previous middle or high school teaching experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instructional services to small groups or individually in inclusive and pull-out settings
• Assess academic and behavioral needs, developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and support staff
• Partner with families to support student growth
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements concerning special education
