This opportunity is for two Special Education teaching positions in Dearborn, MI, designed for educators passionate about supporting diverse learners in a school setting.

Position 1 is a split role, where you will dedicate half your time to Mason Middle School, working in a self-contained classroom for grades 6-8, and the other half at Maire Elementary School, supporting students in a resource room setting for grades K-5. This position requires flexibility and a strong ability to address varied educational needs across a wide age range.

Position 2 focuses on supporting students with Mild Cognitive Impairment at the middle school level. This role emphasizes specialized instructional strategies tailored to help students succeed academically and socially.

Key qualifications and experience desired:

  • Valid Special Education teaching credentials
  • Experience working with self-contained special education classrooms and resource room settings
  • Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, families, and staff
  • Compassionate approach to addressing the unique needs of students with cognitive and developmental challenges

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering individualized instruction aligned with IEPs
  • Monitoring and documenting student progress
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student growth
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Engaging with families to foster partnerships in student development
