A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for the 2026–2027 school year in Dearborn, MI. This role focuses on supporting students with diverse learning needs within an onsite classroom setting. Two positions are open: one in an Early Childhood special education classroom and another in a High School special education classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
  • Provide individualized instruction and academic support to students with disabilities
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly and adjust interventions as necessary
  • Collaborate closely with general education staff, families, and related service providers to promote student success
  • Apply behavior management techniques and academic interventions to support positive outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Valid Michigan Teaching License with Special Education endorsement required
  • Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), or willingness to obtain and maintain certification annually
  • Experience working with special needs students is preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Location: Dearborn, MI (onsite only)
Contract type: Full-time for the 2026–2027 school year (dates to be determined)
Classrooms: Early Childhood Special Education and High School Special Education
