Special Education Teacher - Dearborn, Michigan

Key Qualifications:

• Active Special Education Teacher Certification for Michigan, including a Special Education endorsement
• Experience supporting students with mild to moderate needs (preferred)
• Dedicated to fostering an inclusive classroom and promoting student success
• Strong communication skills for collaborative work with teachers, administrators, and families
• Passion for adapting instruction to meet student learning styles and abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and implement effective IEPs in alignment with each student’s needs and goals
• Lead small group and one-on-one instruction within a classroom setting
• Track student progress, maintaining thorough records and completing necessary documentation
• Collaborate with general education teachers and other support staff to promote inclusion and positive outcomes
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress and address concerns
• Participate in professional development and school meetings as needed
