Special Education Teacher - Dearborn, Michigan

You'll be working in a self-contained classroom with a manageable group of 7-8 students, supported by three dedicated paraprofessionals and a full team of specialists including speech therapy, social work, occupational therapy, and an ASD coach. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current elementary teaching certification
• ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) certification required
• Prior experience working with students in K-1 or comparable settings preferred
• Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
• Strong communication, organization, and adaptability

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students in a K-1 ASD classroom setting
• Implement and adapt the new curriculum for individual learning needs
• Work closely with paraprofessionals and a skilled support team to provide a nurturing environment
• Develop, monitor, and revise IEPs for students with autism
