Special Education Teacher in Dearborn, MI

This full-time contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher focuses on providing high-quality individualized instruction, accommodations, and broad-based support to students at the elementary level.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (in applicable state)
• Prior experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
• Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and IEP development
• Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively alongside another Resource SPED specialist
• Effective communication and classroom management abilities
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction based on IEPs and students’ unique needs
• Collaborate closely with the other Resource SPED teacher and general education staff to ensure student success
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals while maintaining accurate records and progress reports
• Support students with behavioral, academic, and social-emotional needs in the resource classroom
• Engage in regular communication with families regarding student progress and strategies for continued growth
