This long-term, onsite contract position in a supportive educational environment runs from late August 2026 through late June 2027. You’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, working closely with students identified as Cognitively Impaired (CI) and contributing your specialized expertise to help them thrive academically and socially.
Your qualifications should include:
- Valid Special Education License with CI or ASD endorsement
- Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), or a commitment to obtain and renew CPI certification as required
- Previous experience working with elementary students (grades K–2) in a special education setting preferred
- Knowledge of individualized education program (IEP) processes and documentation
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Your core responsibilities will involve:
- Delivering individualized instruction to K–2 students with cognitive impairments, adapting curriculum to best support each child’s growth
- Working collaboratively with general education and related service teams to ensure student progress
- Developing and implementing IEP goals and objectives in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Maintaining a supportive and proactive classroom environment focused on student safety, engagement, and growth
- Engaging with parents and caregivers to foster ongoing communication and support for each student
