Key Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certification with a Special Education (SPED) endorsement
- Experience supporting students with mild to moderate learning needs preferred
- Strong understanding of developing and implementing IEPs
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to build trusting relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and revise IEPs tailored to individual student strengths and needs
- Instruct and adapt lessons to accommodate a range of learning abilities and styles
- Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust strategies as necessary
- Maintain timely, organized records and comply with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, counselors, and parents to ensure student success
- Participate actively in professional development and school community initiatives
