Special Education Teacher in Dearborn, MI

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certification with a Special Education (SPED) endorsement
• Experience supporting students with mild to moderate learning needs preferred
• Strong understanding of developing and implementing IEPs
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to build trusting relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute, and revise IEPs tailored to individual student strengths and needs
• Instruct and adapt lessons to accommodate a range of learning abilities and styles
• Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust strategies as necessary
• Maintain timely, organized records and comply with state and federal guidelines
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, counselors, and parents to ensure student success
• Participate actively in professional development and school community initiatives
