This contract opportunity centers on supporting learners in a unique, specialized program that blends special education with transitional services. You’ll work with middle and high school students ranging from grades 6 through 12, in a setting designed specifically to help each student thrive outside of the traditional district environment.
You’ll be part of a close-knit team serving up to 56 students, benefiting from robust partnerships with surrounding districts. Conjoining services and innovative approaches allow for a holistic and supportive atmosphere where your impact is truly realized. The newly renovated standalone building offers dedicated spaces for creative instruction and personalized learning, separate from typical district facilities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably with students in grades 6–12.
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and monitoring.
- Compassionate, adaptable, and collaborative approach to working with students of diverse abilities.
- Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families.
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning space.
Your Daily Impact:
- Design and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to students’ needs and IEP goals.
- Collaborate closely with other educators and support staff to provide transitional assistance.
- Participate in regular IEP meetings and contribute to progress evaluations.
- Foster an environment that encourages growth, independence, and self-advocacy.
- Liaise with district partners and utilize their support services for best student outcomes.
