Qualifications and Experience:
- Current credentials as a Special Education Teacher (Intervention Specialist certification preferred)
- Experience working with K-12 students in a specialized or inclusion setting
- Strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), differentiation, and behavioral interventions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction to students with diverse learning needs, both individually and in small groups
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s strengths and goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure accommodations and modifications are in place
- Monitor and report on student progress, maintaining accurate and timely documentation
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as needed
- Adapt teaching strategies to support a positive learning atmosphere and encourage student growth
