Step into a rewarding contract position as a Special Education Teacher supporting students in an inclusive educational setting. This opportunity runs from August 31 through June 22, with work hours from 7:35 am to 3:05 pm. You’ll provide critical in-class instructional support across five support classes, each with up to 10 students, guiding diverse learners toward their individual goals.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification required
- High school teaching experience preferred, but open to dedicated educators with varying backgrounds
- Proven ability to collaborate with general education staff and integrate effective instructional strategies
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-class support to students with special needs within the general education environment
- Collaborate with teachers to modify curricula and ensure accommodations are met
- Foster positive and inclusive learning environments that promote student engagement and growth
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports for student monitoring
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and implementation
