Special Ed Teacher | Denton, Maryland

For the 2026–2027 academic year, you’ll join an energetic and student-centered team in a full-time role that emphasizes collaboration and individualized support.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Maryland Special Education teaching license (required)
• Background in a school setting strongly preferred
• Demonstrated strengths in teamwork, adaptability, and classroom management
• Knowledge of providing support for students with disabilities such as Other Health Impairments (OHI), learning disabilities, autism, or language impairments

Your Impact & Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver personalized instruction through the development and management of IEPs
• Work directly with a manageable caseload of approximately 10–15 students, primarily in a co-teaching model with both push-in and pull-out services
• Provide most services within the general education classroom, ensuring students remain engaged with peers
• Partner with general education teachers and school staff to maximize student growth and inclusion
• Regularly communicate with families, keeping them informed and involved in their child’s progress
• Track student achievement and maintain thorough, up-to-date records as required
