Make a direct difference in the lives of elementary students by providing essential support as a Special Education Teacher within a welcoming school community. This full-time contract position offers a unique opportunity to nurture and inspire children with a range of abilities, focusing primarily on students with Other Health Impairments (OHI), Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairments. You’ll collaborate closely with general education teachers to deliver services within inclusive classrooms, ensuring every child receives the personalized attention they deserve.

Your role will involve managing a fluid caseload, typically supporting between 10 and 15 students, and crafting effective individual education plans to foster student growth and success from now through June 14, 2027.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education (required)
  • Experience in an elementary school setting is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Background in supporting students with OHI, learning disabilities, autism, and language impairment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to inclusive education and the co-teaching model

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based instruction and behavioral interventions within general education classrooms
  • Develop and maintain IEPs in compliance with all regulations
  • Collaborate with general education staff, specialists, and families to support student outcomes
  • Track and report on student progress through regular data collection and documentation
  • Provide accommodations, modifications, and individualized strategies to help students achieve IEP goals
