Special Education Teacher - Denton, TX

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher by supporting elementary students and collaborating with dedicated colleagues. This full-time contract position offers you the chance to empower young learners, working Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. With a manageable caseload of 10-15 students per assignment, you’ll have the opportunity to build strong, supportive relationships with your students and tailor your teaching strategies to their unique needs. Each educator is assigned to one campus, providing stability and fostering a cohesive learning environment.

What you bring:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for Texas
• Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged students
• Comprehensive understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to create and modify lesson plans to meet individual student goals
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and staff
• Dedication to fostering a supportive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to elementary special education students
• Develop, update, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Evaluate student progress and adjust strategies for continuous improvement
• Work closely with a team of educators, therapists, and administrators
• Maintain accurate, confidential records and ensure compliance with state regulations
• Communicate regularly with families to share progress and collaborate on goals
