A Denver-area school is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide instructional support to middle school students for approximately 30 hours per week. This position serves students with primarily mild to moderate learning needs, with potential involvement in an Affective Needs program if additional coverage is required.

Service Model: Small-group instruction (typically 5–8 students)
Role Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction in small-group settings to support IEP goals

Adapt lessons and materials to meet individual student needs

Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers

Monitor student progress and contribute to IEP meetings and documentation

Provide behavioral and emotional support as needed, particularly for students with affective needs

Ensure compliance with CDE and district special education guidelines
Qualifications:

Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education License

Experience working with middle school populations preferred

Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
