Special Education Teacher | Denver, Colorado

Your expertise will help foster an inclusive educational environment and provide personalized educational plans, assessments, and advocacy for students. You will play a pivotal part in facilitating progress and ensuring equal access to academic resources, all while building meaningful relationships with both students and colleagues.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Certificate for Colorado
• Experience managing a diverse student caseload in middle or high school settings
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptability and resourcefulness to manage evolving student needs
• Ability to create an engaging, supportive classroom

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and track individual education plans (IEPs)
• Provide direct instructional support within inclusive and specialized settings
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and administrators
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions
• Advocate for student needs, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences
• Foster a positive, effective learning environment

This full-time, onsite opportunity runs from August 3, 2026, through May 20, 2027, with two positions available: one serving middle school students and the other supporting high school students.
