Calling passionate Special Education Teachers with expertise in early childhood! An exciting full-time, onsite contract opportunity is available in the Denver area for the upcoming school year. This role focuses on supporting preschool children with diverse learning needs within a collaborative, resource-rich environment.
You’ll work Monday through Friday (37.5 hours per week) at a single campus serving a maximum caseload of 15 preschoolers. Students attend class Monday through Thursday, while Fridays are reserved for planning and professional collaboration with a supportive multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution required
- Must hold one of the following credentials:
- Early Childhood Special Education (birth–8, grades P3-2 only)
- Early Childhood Special Ed Specialist (birth–8, grades P3-2 only)
- Early Childhood Special Education (birth–5, grade P3-K only)
- Early Childhood Special Education (3–8, grades P3-2 only)
- Strong understanding of standardized assessments for eligibility as well as literacy and math programming
- Previous experience teaching or supporting young children with disabilities is preferred
- Comfortable with the assessment, IEP development, and delivery of in-class and pull-out special education services
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, instruct, and support preschool students with a variety of needs
- Create and implement individualized educational programming in line with IEP guidelines
- Effectively collaborate with classroom educators, therapists, and families
- Utilize data and assessment results to adapt teaching and ensure student growth
- Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and professional development
