Special Education Teacher - Denver, Colorado

Step into a dynamic, collaborative environment supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Multiple full-time roles are available across well-resourced elementary campuses, each fostering a culture of inclusion, growth, and teamwork. Assignments are on-site at a single school, each dedicated to a specific caseload and designed to maximize educators’ impact through focused support and a strong peer network.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Colorado Department of Education Teacher License with Special Education Generalist (5-21) endorsement.
• Classroom experience with elementary special education populations (mild/moderate or moderate/severe).
• Background working with students with autism and/or significant behavioral needs highly valued.
• Familiarity with ABA principles, CPI, de-escalation strategies, and station-based classroom structures is strongly preferred, especially for more intensive caseloads.
• Experience developing and implementing Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP).
• Proven ability to lead and support a team of paraprofessionals within a classroom setting.
• Flexibility and adaptability to align with district initiatives and multidisciplinary teams.

Position Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized instruction for students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and structured classroom climate.
• Lead, collaborate, and mentor paraprofessionals, speech/therapy staff, and other support personnel.
• Establish and monitor learning goals, implementing data-driven intervention strategies.
• Track progress, complete paperwork, and communicate with families and IEP teams.
• Prepare for on-site credentialing and district-specific documentation requirements.
