Collaborate with educators and specialists to assess and identify needs for preschool and early elementary-aged children, ensuring they receive the services they need to thrive.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License with an Early Childhood Special Education (EC SPED) endorsement.
  • Bilingual proficiency essential for conducting evaluations and communicating effectively with diverse families.
  • Experience with Child Find evaluations and early childhood special education practices preferred.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working across multiple school sites and district-level evaluations.
  • Ability to complete required district contractor credentialing documentation before assignment begins.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for bilingual preschool and early elementary-aged children in various educational settings, including North Star Elementary, Centennial Elementary, and potential district-wide sites.
  • Collaborate with the district's evaluation team to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and support recommendations.
  • Communicate findings and next steps to families and multidisciplinary teams, utilizing strong bilingual skills to ensure understanding.
  • Travel between locations as needed for on-site assessment and collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with all district and state documentation requirements.
