Desired Qualifications:

• A valid CDE Special Education (SPED) License with Generalist Endorsement (proof of application required if pending; substitute, temporary, or interim licenses are not accepted)
• License should specify: Professional Teacher License #000000; Endorsed in Special Education Generalist (5-21)
• Prior experience in a school-based Special Education setting
• Deep understanding of the IEP process and legal compliance
• Demonstrated expertise in developing, leading, and implementing specially designed instruction and differentiated instructional strategies
• Ability to support students on alternative academic standards
• Candidates must be able to work fully on-site; this is not a virtual or hybrid role

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, modify, and implement effective IEPs to support diverse student learning needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary IEP teams, including families, therapists, and general educators, to ensure comprehensive student support
• Design and deliver engaging special education lessons aligned with alternative and general education standards
• Use a variety of assessments and instructional strategies tailored to student strengths and areas for growth
• Maintain detailed records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with all federal and state regulations
