Desired Qualifications:
- A valid CDE Special Education (SPED) License with Generalist Endorsement (proof of application required if pending; substitute, temporary, or interim licenses are not accepted)
- License should specify: Professional Teacher License #000000; Endorsed in Special Education Generalist (5-21)
- Prior experience in a school-based Special Education setting
- Deep understanding of the IEP process and legal compliance
- Demonstrated expertise in developing, leading, and implementing specially designed instruction and differentiated instructional strategies
- Ability to support students on alternative academic standards
- Candidates must be able to work fully on-site; this is not a virtual or hybrid role
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, modify, and implement effective IEPs to support diverse student learning needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary IEP teams, including families, therapists, and general educators, to ensure comprehensive student support
- Design and deliver engaging special education lessons aligned with alternative and general education standards
- Use a variety of assessments and instructional strategies tailored to student strengths and areas for growth
- Maintain detailed records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with all federal and state regulations
