Special Education Teacher in Denver, CO

Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher

• Ability to write and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Willingness to complete a mock IEP and review a lesson plan prior to the interview process
• Flexibility to work onsite; interviews may be virtual if needed

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction to students with a range of mild to moderate disabilities
• Develop, monitor, and adapt IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Foster an inclusive, engaging classroom environment in line with district and state standards
• Use data-driven strategies to address individual learning needs and ensure student growth
• Provide extended learning support (up to 30 minutes after school) as needed for makeup instructional time
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
