Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Active Special Education licensure for 0-8 strongly preferred (will consider SpEd K-12 or 5-21 certifications if 0-8 is not obtainable)
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher or Learning Specialist in a school-based setting is valued
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working collaboratively with staff, students, and families
• Confidence in managing small caseloads and delivering differentiated instruction
• Solid organizational skills and the ability to implement IEPs with care and compliance
• Adaptability and commitment to supporting each student’s unique learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and learning support to a caseload of approximately 8–10 students in person
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate student records, progress monitoring, and compliance documentation
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and structured classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with families and staff regarding student goals and progress
• Actively participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development
