Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Current teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement (or eligibility to obtain)
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field required
- Previous experience working with students receiving special education services, preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and principles of differentiated instruction
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and related service providers
- Adaptable and flexible approach to meet student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
- Deliver engaging instruction using evidence-based strategies and accommodations
- Collect data on student progress and adjust plans as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to facilitate student inclusion
- Communicate regularly with families, maintaining strong partnerships focused on student wellbeing
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
