Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential or eligibility in Colorado
• Previous experience working in a special education classroom, preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learners
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills with parents, staff, and administrators
• Proficiency in maintaining thorough documentation and reporting

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging, individualized lesson plans based on students' IEPs
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on each student’s needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to promote inclusion
• Maintain regular communication with families regarding student goals and progress
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages confidence and growth
• Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and professional development activities
