Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential or eligibility in Colorado
- Previous experience working in a special education classroom, preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learners
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills with parents, staff, and administrators
- Proficiency in maintaining thorough documentation and reporting
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging, individualized lesson plans based on students' IEPs
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on each student’s needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to promote inclusion
- Maintain regular communication with families regarding student goals and progress
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages confidence and growth
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and professional development activities
