Special Education Teacher - Denver, Colorado

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Current teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement (or eligibility to obtain)
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field required
• Previous experience working with students receiving special education services, preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and principles of differentiated instruction
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and related service providers
• Adaptable and flexible approach to meet student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
• Deliver engaging instruction using evidence-based strategies and accommodations
• Collect data on student progress and adjust plans as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to facilitate student inclusion
• Communicate regularly with families, maintaining strong partnerships focused on student wellbeing
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
