Qualifications and Experience Desired:

• Valid teaching license with a Special Education endorsement (required)
• Experience working with middle or high school students is highly preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
• Adaptable and organized, with strong problem-solving abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams
• Provide direct instruction and accommodations tailored to each student’s unique learning requirements
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators to ensure best outcomes
• Foster a positive, caring classroom community that values diversity and inclusion
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student growth and needs
