Special Education Teacher - Deputy, Indiana

Two contract opportunities are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers ready to serve students near Deputy, IN, from August 10th through May 26th. This full-time contract runs 37.5 hours per week at $45 per hour.

There are two exciting positions:

1. Special Preschool/Learning Disabilities Teacher (SPED)
   Work at Switzerland County Elementary (Indiana certification in Exceptional Needs required, covering School Setting: Preschool).
   • PK (Preschool) in the mornings, Tuesday through Friday
   • Elementary Learning Disabilities (LD) in the afternoons, Monday through Friday (+all day Mondays)

Key Requirements:

• Valid Indiana Special Education Teacher certification for any Exceptional Needs area and School Setting: Preschool
• Ability to differentiate instruction and implement IEPs effectively
• Strong collaboration skills for working with general education teachers, specialists, and families
• Passion for creating an inclusive, positive classroom environment
• Flexibility and organizational skills to handle varying classroom needs

Role Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver specialized instruction for both preschool and elementary students with learning disabilities
• Assess individual abilities, modify curriculum, and track progress toward IEP goals
• Foster a supportive and communicative relationship with students, parents, and staff
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding special education
• Attend required meetings and participate in professional development as needed
