This contract position offers the opportunity to truly engage with students, fostering growth and providing tailored instruction through the 2026-2027 school year. Two positions are available—one at the elementary level and one at the secondary—each with a manageable caseload of approximately 10 students. Both roles require full-time (35-40 hours per week) onsite commitment, ensuring students receive the consistent support they need.
What We're Looking For:
- Valid and present low-incidence special education teaching license (required for consideration)
- Previous experience supporting students with significant disabilities is highly preferred
- Ability and willingness to work full-time, in-person (no virtual work accommodated)
- Skilled in developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
- Strong communication skills with students, colleagues, and families
- Flexibility to adjust teaching approaches based on student needs
Your Role Will Involve:
- Providing specialized instruction for a caseload of around 10 students in either an elementary or secondary setting
- Crafting and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborating with general education staff and related service providers
- Adapting curriculum materials according to best practices for low-incidence disabilities
- Offering consistent, compassionate support to each student’s unique abilities and challenges
- Maintaining communication with families and ensuring thorough documentation
