Special Ed Teacher | Derry, New Hampshire

We're seeking passionate Special Education Teachers for two available positions: one working with grades 6th–8th and another with grades 9th–12th. In this full-time contract role, you’ll work 37.5 hours per week in a dedicated school environment near Derry, NH.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification required
• Experience working with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
• Familiarity with Life Skills or functional curriculum highly valued
• Strong classroom management and individualized educational planning (IEP) skills
• Excellent communication skills to partner with families, support staff, and service providers
• Comfortable collaborating within multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support in a Life Skills classroom for either middle or high school students
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Adapt instructional materials and approaches to meet diverse learner needs
• Track student progress and maintain thorough records
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate where every student can thrive
• Engage with families and other educators to promote student success
