This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact with a diverse caseload of second and fifth-grade students across two elementary school settings.
Your responsibilities will include leading instruction and providing dedicated case management for approximately 15 students, working collaboratively with staff and families to foster student growth and success. The school year runs August 2026 through June 2027, with a full-time, Monday through Friday schedule and 32-37.5 hours per week.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state Special Education Teacher certification or eligibility
- Experience supporting students in elementary special education settings
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt instruction based on individual education plans (IEPs)
- Effective communication with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Able to manage multiple caseloads, organize all paperwork, documentation, and reporting for compliance
- Positive, collaborative attitude and professional reliability
Your Role:
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction to students with a range of learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
- Maintain detailed documentation and fulfill case management responsibilities for IEPs
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and ongoing communication with families
- Support transitions and inclusion in both self-contained and mainstream settings as appropriate
