A contract opportunity is available for an energetic and compassionate Special Education Teacher to work with students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade, starting in July for the Extended School Year (ESY) and beyond. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of K-2 students with diverse learning profiles
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Adapt general education curriculum and utilize effective teaching strategies for exceptional learners
• Track and communicate student progress consistently with families and support staff
• Employ positive, proactive classroom management skills to create a safe and welcoming environment
• Participate in professional development and ongoing training as part of a year-round program

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Previous experience working with early elementary/primary grades highly preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and federal/state special education regulations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to nurturing the academic and socio-emotional growth of all students
