Responsibilities include:

• Delivering engaging, standards-based science instruction to students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborating with fellow educators, support staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Using adaptive teaching methods, differentiated materials, and accommodations to ensure all students can access and succeed in the curriculum
• Tracking student progress, assessing needs, and reporting outcomes in accordance with school and district procedures
• Participating in IEP meetings, professional development, and interdisciplinary team planning

Preferred qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Current, valid teaching license/certification in special education for the applicable grade range
• Experience teaching science content, with strong classroom management and instructional skills
• Understanding of IDEA, IEP processes, and best practices for accommodating students with exceptionalities
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational abilities
