Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching credential or certification (required)
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly in resource, self-contained, or inclusive classrooms
  • Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and monitoring
  • Strong understanding of instructional strategies to support students with varying abilities
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including paraprofessionals, therapists, and administrators

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver differentiated lesson plans tailored to meet students’ unique learning needs
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal guidelines related to Special Education
  • Conduct assessments and track student growth towards IEP goals
  • Actively participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and parent conferences
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and respectful classroom environment
  • Liaise with general education staff to provide support and accommodations as needed
  • Provide regular updates and communicate progress to families and educational team members
