Special Education Teacher in Des Plaines, IL

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Special Education Teacher certification for the state
• Experience working in self-contained special education settings is strongly preferred
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to multiple learning styles and abilities
• Skilled in developing and maintaining IEPs
• Strong communication and collaborative abilities with families, therapists, and other school staff
• Commitment to fostering a supportive, safe, and engaging classroom atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute, and assess individualized educational plans for students
• Provide direct instruction and support using evidence-based strategies
• Differentiate curriculum to accommodate varied learning profiles
• Track and report student progress toward established IEP goals
