In this role, you’ll be responsible for guiding a class of 10 students, primarily in 3rd and 5th grades, and collaborating with colleagues to create adaptive curriculum plans that support individual learning needs. Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Previous experience working in special education, preferably with elementary-aged children
- Strong knowledge of individualized instruction and IEP implementation
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Collaborative approach to working with general education teachers, support staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver differentiated lesson plans and instructional materials to address student IEP goals
- Create a nurturing, structured environment that promotes engagement and personal growth for each student
- Maintain accurate records on student progress, behavior, and communication with team members and families
- Foster a culture of belonging, respect, and academic achievement within the classroom
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
