Special Education Teacher - Des Plaines, Illinois

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Previous experience working in special education, preferably with elementary-aged children
• Strong knowledge of individualized instruction and IEP implementation
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Collaborative approach to working with general education teachers, support staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver differentiated lesson plans and instructional materials to address student IEP goals
• Create a nurturing, structured environment that promotes engagement and personal growth for each student
• Maintain accurate records on student progress, behavior, and communication with team members and families
• Foster a culture of belonging, respect, and academic achievement within the classroom
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
