Step into a meaningful full-time opportunity supporting students as a bilingual special education professional for the upcoming school year. This contract role is dedicated to providing expert support for learners with IEPs within a collaborative school environment.
As a push-in LBS (Learning Behavior Specialist), you’ll work alongside general education teachers to foster differentiation and ensure accessibility for all students. In addition to providing in-class support, you’ll lead small group pull-out sessions, delivering personalized instruction to help students reach their individual academic and behavioral goals.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Bilingual fluency required to effectively communicate with students and families
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with students across diverse backgrounds and ability levels
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Comfortable adapting curriculum and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Passionate about inclusive education and advocating for students’ individualized needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide push-in support for students with IEPs within the general education classroom
- Deliver targeted instruction to small groups during pull-out sessions
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to modify materials and instruction
- Collect data and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Communicate proactively with families, service providers, and fellow educators
- Participate in IEP meetings and implement behavior intervention strategies when needed
