Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) and required Special Education endorsements
- Experience working with early childhood or preschool-aged children in a special education setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each child's goals
- Create a supportive classroom environment that nurtures social, emotional, and academic development
- Work closely with families, related service providers, and other educators to deliver holistic instruction and care
- Utilize evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies
- Track student progress, modify instructional plans as needed, and maintain accurate records
