This full-time contract role focuses on both resource and self-contained instructional settings, providing essential services to students with diverse learning needs.

This rewarding position spans from ASAP through May 28, 2027, offering steady, consistent hours—32.5 each week. You’ll be working collaboratively within a supportive environment, creating personalized education plans, delivering differentiated instruction, and fostering growth for every student in your care. Resource and self-contained teaching experiences are both central to this opportunity.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Special Education Teacher Certification
• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) required
• Experience in resource and/or self-contained classroom settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of K-8th grade curriculum and effective special education strategies
• Ability to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills
• Commitment to nurturing each child’s academic and emotional development

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction to K-8 students across varying ability levels
• Develop and update IEPs in alignment with state requirements
• Work alongside general education staff and parents to support student progression
• Manage and adapt resources for both resource room and self-contained environments
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom culture
