Special Education Teacher | Des Plaines, Illinois

Work with a small caseload of 7-8 students in kindergarten through second grade, focusing on students with developmental delays, Autism, and ADHD. Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid LBS1 certification is required
• Prior experience working with primary-aged students (K-2) strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of diverse learning needs, including DD, Autism, and ADHD
• Passion for differentiated instruction and tailored behavioral strategies
• Commitment to collaboration with support staff, families, and colleagues
• Strong communication, documentation, and classroom management skills
• Must function independently—assistant-level candidates are not eligible for this position

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s abilities and goals
• Deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction in small group and 1:1 settings
• Track progress, maintain thorough records, and regularly communicate updates
