Key Qualifications:
- Valid Louisiana Special Education Educator Certificate (required)
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably at the elementary level
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and adaptive learning environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized resource support to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, adapt, and deliver IEP-based instruction both individually and in small groups
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate student records
- Communicate regularly with families and collaborate on student goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and ongoing professional development
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education requirements
