Key Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Educator Certificate required
• SPED Educator Certificate strongly preferred; Elementary 1-5 Certificate holders considered
• Previous experience working with special education caseloads, particularly self-contained classrooms, is highly desirable
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Dedication to creating supportive, individualized educational strategies for students with diverse needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students in a self-contained classroom
• Collaborate with classroom staff, parents, and related service providers to foster a nurturing and productive learning atmosphere
• Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to accommodate varying learning needs and styles
• Maintain accurate student records, monitor progress, and communicate results with families and multidisciplinary team members
