Elementary Special Education Teacher - Discovery Bay, CA

Make a difference in the lives of elementary school students as a Special Education Teacher in a resource classroom setting. This full-time, direct hire position is designed to support students with mild to moderate disabilities, providing individualized and small-group instruction within an inclusive educational environment. Based near Discovery Bay, CA, you’ll join a supportive team dedicated to fostering student growth and success.

What You'll Bring:

• Valid California CTC Special Education Teaching Credential (required)
• Experience with elementary-aged students
• Knowledge and understanding of best practices for working with mild to moderate disabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Enthusiasm for fostering a positive, inclusive classroom community

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach and support a caseload of approximately 28 students in a resource classroom setting
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are met
• Monitor progress, track data, and communicate regularly with families and team members
• Create an engaging, nurturing environment that encourages academic and social growth
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and documentation standards
• Provide direct instruction in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional skills as needed
