Elementary Special Education Teacher in Discovery Bay, CA

Discover a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of elementary-aged students as a Special Education Teacher in a Resource classroom setting. Two full-time positions are available supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities for the remainder of the school year. You’ll play a key role in helping young learners reach their fullest potential while working alongside dedicated professionals at two supportive school sites.

Key Qualifications:

• Current California CTC credential in Special Education (required)
• Experience with elementary students preferred
• Background supporting mild to moderate disabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of approximately 28 students within a Resource classroom
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide targeted instruction and support, both individually and in small groups
• Coordinate with general education teachers, staff, and parents for student success
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on student progress throughout the school year
• Maintain all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
