Key Qualifications:
- Valid Missouri Special Education teaching credentials
- Experience working with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Enthusiasm for various classroom models, including self-contained, resource, inclusion, and co-teaching
- Ability to perform all standard responsibilities of a Special Education Teacher
- Strong work ethic, a growth mindset, and a positive approach to student learning and professional relationships
Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and implement IEPs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Adapt instruction and materials to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student success
- Track student progress and maintain thorough records per school and state requirements
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes
