Special Education Teacher - Dorchester, Massachusetts

This full-time contract opportunity focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to 2nd and 3rd grade students with developmental delays or intellectual impairments in an onsite environment. With a schedule running from 8:00AM to 2:30PM and a start date as soon as possible, you'll have the chance to connect with your students and make a lasting difference through the end of June 2026.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Previous school-based experience as a Special Education Teacher required
• Active Massachusetts licensure or certification in Moderate or Severe Disabilities
• CORI search and fingerprint clearance needed (a letter of suitability from a previous employer may fulfill fingerprint requirements)
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, empowering, and supportive learning atmosphere
• Strong ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and families
• Flexibility and dedication for a full-time, onsite role

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction to 2nd and 3rd grade students with developmental delays or intellectual impairments
• Develop and implement effective, personalized IEPs
• Maintain open and ongoing communication with families and colleagues regarding student progress
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and parent conferences
• Provide guidance and support to paraprofessionals and classroom aides
• Utilize a range of strategies to promote student independence, growth, and engagement
