Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification/license
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
  • Familiarity with inclusion models and adapting instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
  • Ability to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with moderate disabilities
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and best practices in special education

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small group instruction within an inclusion classroom setting
  • Modify curriculum and instructional materials for students with moderate special needs
  • Develop and implement IEP goals, monitor progress, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to promote an inclusive, supportive learning environment
  • Foster positive relationships with students and families to encourage student growth and achievement
  • Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and other school or district initiatives as needed
